they say...don't start potty training until your child is ready. well, one night during bath time, monkey boy discovered he could pee on mucus. which naturally, brought out many laughs from us. and so the next night, he did it again. he's ready to start, yay! we went out and bought him his very own potty chair. he picked it out himself. and for the next few weeks, right before bath time, he would sit on his potty chair and pee.
then came big boy underpants. he picked out some elmo ones. and so we are on to the next step. this was about two months ago and we are s-l-o-w-l-y, but surely still potty training. i'd like to think that we are making progress. at least, that's what i like to tell myself.
one day soon, it will all just click for him. but until then...
don't pee on elmo, or he'll be sad.

and hopefully today, elmo won't be as sad as he was yesterday.
